Filter press – Mining industry

Filter press is widely used for mechanical dewatering of mineral concentrates at the end of the mining process to reduce their moisture before the roasting step. The filter presses are commonly used to process carbon concentrate, iron concentrate, lead concentrate and all non-ferrous metals concentrates or tailings, which are the by-product of the mining process like for example the red mud.
