INVESTMENT PROJECT IN INTEGRATED SOFTWARE WITH IMPACTS ON CRITICAL INTERNAL PROCESSES, PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, AND POST-SALES TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

Call for proposals to support the digital transition of enterprises in Emilia-Romagna.

SUMMARY:
The project consists of a set of integrated investments aimed at the digitalization of business processes, including: the implementation of a new company ERP system (STAR4) for administrative and operational process management, supported by technical and organizational consultancy; the adoption of IBM INFORMIX database software to enhance relational and graphical data management; the use of Microfocus COBOL within the Star4 Framework for structured business reporting; the introduction of SOLIDWORKS Professional and DraftSight for integrated 3D and 2D design activities; and the implementation of PDM software to integrate design data with the STAR4 ERP. Additional solutions include Prometeo Maintenance software for remote maintenance management and ADOBE software for the development of 3D plant manuals and improved technical support control.

OBJECTIVES:
The project aimed to digitalize critical internal processes, particularly in the after-sales, technical-design and R&D areas, while improving overall internal efficiency, operational effectiveness and organizational quality.

RESULTS:
As a result of the investment, DSW acquired the technological capabilities required to digitalize critical internal processes, eliminating manual activities and significantly improving execution quality, operational efficiency and overall performance outcomes.
